Hey Howdy Hey!

Its me! I am still here!  I know it has been a while, there have been an abundance of stuff going on around here. I am settling into the scheduled life.

(ok, not settling, fighting it every chance I get, but that is beside the point.)

There is this very cool place at my home, which needs a name,(others just call it a shed, but it is so much more! Which is why it must be named)

 I will share with you after the Holidays...

Oh the Holidays, starting with Thanksgiving... and Christmas, ... and on to New Years Day.... Even if I am ahead I seem to feel I don't have enough done. Then I have dear friends who are making cookies, ok her start day for cookies she makes 10 Dozen... then she continues to bake for DAYS!  And other friends with Crafty snacks that look like reindeer, oh how cute made from marshmallows and dipped in chocolate with pretzel antlers.

Let me tell you I have ideas all year about my "Christmas Picture" and it usually never happens. I know I am not the only one out there like this.... or am I?

Today I want to share a few of my home made ornaments.

This one is soo simple.

 A small wooden block covered with papers of all patterns on each side with a small eye hook to hang it from. The paper was glued on and the edges were sanded and touched up with a sprinkling of glitter. The sides can also be stamped, or decoupaged with sheet music or  retro Christmas graphics. FUN Sounds like I will be making a few more ornaments this year.

Now I love the simplicity of this one...

A Baby's First ornament

It is like a mini book (Which I love) to hang on the Christmas tree to remember baby's first Christmas for years to come.

A very simple construction using playing cards,

 who doesn't have a few decks in the house that are not complete?

(We have more than a few)

Covered in paper and stamped up and decorated with ribbon.

And when Christmas is over take some of your little ones photos and put them on the pages!

Baskets full of love!

I am once again participating in The Angel Company's Blog Hop!

 The theme of this Hop is Valentines!

Yes it seems like forever away, but it is only but a few short weeks away!

This is my contribution to the hop.

Baskets of love for Valentines day.

Little matchbook treats with a sentiment inside with a few cinnamon candies.

Black and white paper is actually a FREE download from The Angel Company you can find it here!

I just printed the pattern onto white card stock! How simple!

You could also print on pink! or any other color card stock to coordinate with what you may be crafting!

Your own personal Perry!

Yes, I am singing "My own Personal Perry" to the tune of  My Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode.

Ok so who is a fan of "Agent P"?

My family definitely is!

Obviously so is Mickey!

 

I am so excited to share this project with you!

The birth of our very own "Agent P"

 It would be a fabulous home/ hand made gift that almost anyone would love!

(Yes I know more than a hand full of adults that would LOVE to receive this as a gift)

So maybe I do hang with an odd crowd.

All that is needed is a copier to enlarge the pattern.

Felt *Perry color (2 sheets)

*Orange. I used stiff felt for this (feet, mouth, and tail 2 sheets to be safe)

*Brown for his hat (half a sheet)

*small black ribbon to wrap around his hat.

*stuffing (he needs guts, I used cotton balls)

*pipe cleaner to make him bendable

*2 eyes so he can see (mine are 1 inch googly eyes)

*I used a sewing machine for a long lasting friend (you could use fabric glue)

So I enlarged the pattern to a legal sheet size, so the body fit onto the paper.  I wanted to make "Agent P." as big as I could with little difficulty. then I knew how much to enlarge the hat, mouth, feet and tail pattern on another sheet.

 I stapled the felt to the pattern in a few places then got to cutting out my pieces.

Now the website tells you to glue him together...

I wanted something that would last longer than glue would hold. So I took the extra time to sew him all up.

This was a really neat family project, and we all enjoyed taking Perry around Disney World and about every 5 minutes someone would notice Mom or Dad wasn't carrying Perry and we heard "Where's Perry?!" It was so much fun.

We were stopped so many times by children and adults alike asking where we got him.

even the "green army man" tried to march off with him!

(do you see him? he did drills with them, and even talked back to the "sarge"

who acted as the evil Dr. Dufenshmirtz in disguise! It was Too much fun!)

so now you know where you can go to get your very own Perry!
