There is this thing called Disney Magic!

"She must've set it down somewhere around this time."

Then she was challenged to a duel a fight of epic proportions right here at Downtown Disney.

The two pirates fought until there was no fight left no more energy to swing the swords just one more time...

Ok until Dad got involved and it was getting a bit out of hand. Perhaps there is a reason they put this specific merchandise in the back of the store?

Brilliance, pure brilliance!

 After showing off her nifty new hook hand we placed all the toys back where they belonged and moved to the next shop, then to the next, then the next. It wasn't until after a meal and everyone was pooped that I asked, Hey "lil one, where is your vinylmation?" She said after a horrified gasp "I don't know."

 Oh dear, so we found out that it was somewhere around the time of the sword fight it must have hoppped out of her pocket and run for cover. we backtracked and looked for ourselves and the lil thing was nowhere to be found. We asked in this store and the cast member had Am describe her vinylmation to him and he even went to check in the back to see if someone had turned it in. no, nothing matching that discription...he suggested that we go to guest services and on the way there we stopped at Once Upon a Toy, which was one of many stops we made earlier. Again the cast member had Am describe the vinylmation to her and it just so happend to be right there on top of the trading box. Now I don't know how, but it was there. This little bit of magic sprinkled into our trip was amazing! loosing a toy can be a traumatizing thing for a young child, but finding that same toy with the help of amazing cast members can make a magical memory to last a lifetime!

The World of Disney store is one of my family's favorite places to pretend to be in a fairytale.

Try it on for size next time you are in Downtown Disney, who knows where you might end up!

After one of my Husband's goofy posts this last week on Faceboook I had a friend comment

"You guys are the kind of people that get kicked out of a lot of places aren't you?"

(Notice she said "you guys" not Yall, nope shes not from TX!)

So he convinced my Sister in-Law to get in the trunk of her new car, to see if the child lock release thing worked...

Well it did, and all is well, she is no longer in her trunk.

As I was looking at my Disney Pictures I found these pictures.

I thought they went well with the quote above.

No we did not get kicked out.

And a battle of good and evil ensued right there in the store in Downtown Disney.

 Ok, so maybe it was a battle of good, and good.

Practice young Padawan, Practice!

There is a build your own Light saber buffet (as I would call it)

there are pieces and parts, to put together and build your

own weapon to defend good (or evil if you like)

Dad was a little slow at building his, and the attack began. 

I wonder if they knew people like mine would have an

all out light saber war n the store when they put this in?

We definitely created a magic moment!

Disney Service Is so Yummy

My 2010 trip to Walt Disney World to attend the Ultimate Field Trip started with a full day at Downtown Disney. While in Downtown Disney we needed to eat lunch, we had dinner reservations at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at 8pm, and we had just gotten off of a plane and we were "ready to Disney".
 Food was the first bullet on our list! We visited the Create your own Tee shop, and hurried along to find food. I have heard for years that Wolfgang Puck is THE place to eat. But I do have to say that we have always gone to the Rainforest Cafe in the past and now that we had the free dining plan we were going to get a "counter service" meal for lunch, and Rainforest cafe isn't on the dining plan and we decided to do something different this time, even though the kids begged.

Along we walked and came to this said Wolfgang Puck dining establishment.  (Downtown Disney Marketplace) I have always walked past in the past, not a big fancy entrance, but we needed to eat, right then before we had a melt down. We headed into Wolfgang puck, and were looking at the menu as my daughter asked for a chocolate milk, the cashier handed it to here and said here sweetie, this is for you. We continued to order, and she recommended many different things, I am the person who takes the longest to order, and the longest to eat, so I quickly ordered one of the recommendations she gave me for a hearty meal. I tried the meatloaf with mashed potato and onion strips atop.

Now tell me is this what you think of when you hear "counter service"?

The portion was huge and would fill even the hungriest of hungry men.

we also tried the chicken strip meal.

ant the family pirate was super happy with the pizza.

Now this is not the average "theme park"  "counter service" !

well no, because this is DISNEY!

So if and when Disney offers free food, this is what I am talking about!

 when we were ready to pay we noticed that there was no chocolate milk on the bill, and told the cast member that she forgot to add it, we insisted that we pay for it. The cast member told us no I gave that to her, it is just a little something that I can do for since she asked for it is just a dollar and it is ok.


Magic I tell you! it is so much the little things and the service that Disney provides that is over and above the "normal" business. Guests are what Disney is about, as when many businesses are about moving customers quickly to get the paycheck they bring. I so cant wait to tell you more! soon! stay tuned!
