Encouraging a childs dream = Priceless
Today I am letting my son guest blog for Magical Memory Monday...
His memories of dining with an Imagineer.
One sunny day at Walt Disney World, our family wandered about in Disney's Hollywood Studios, looking at all the wondrous attractions. We walked up next to this restaurant called The Hollywood Brown Derby, and Mom decided that her and my sister, Ameryn, should go look at some other attractions by themselves. Me and Dad curiously walked inside the nice restaurant; I asked Dad what we were doing here, and he said it was a surprise.
We walked to a special room in the back of the restaurant, and I saw a long table with some people and a Disney Imagineer with a name tag. Tim MacAllister: principal fabrication designer. "I'm having lunch with an Imagineer?", I thought to myself. I sat down with the Imagineer, talked and waited for our food. When he realized I was an artist and wanted to work at Disney when I was older, he told me to never give up on my dreams and to keep on drawing. After we all were done eating, Mr. MacAllister signed my plate. I still have it in my room to this day.
I LOVE this. I can't wait to take Alyx to do it. She is such a great artist that I think she'd love to do this.
